I have a matrix of boxes which are keyframed by rotation. and when they are hit the ground, there is red color mark change the box color. What I want to do is dynamic releasing these boxes in to a rbd object in bullet enviroment. So how can I achieve this goal, I will be very appreciated if you guys can offer some help:-)

hi sorry, I don't think the problem is that easy. I saw the post of syzmatrix on SideFX forum a couple of days ago and I tried to use the similar approach as yours, but I noticed that the motion looks weird. The actual result is a combination of the keyframe animation and the rigid body simulation. So the box are not actually "released". Check out the attached file. I added a ground inside DOP and therefore the expression in your activevalue DOP is changed to "$OBJID-2". I also changed the keyframe a little bit to see the result earlier.
I think the question from syzmatrix is actually a very good request for this kind of feature. I remember the technical demo from 2012, the two buildings are colliding each other. The
video shows the transition from keyframe to the dynamics simulation. I'm still wondering if there's any easy way inside houdini to do this kind of thing.

When rbd object is activated it is also affected by use deforming geo option. So we can create two groups based on color one will be keyframed controlled and other will be dynamically controlled.

Here is a corrected version. Maintaining the original size of obj and once the rbd is activated it should always be activated even if there is no color on the box point after having color for sometime.

Maybe the problem could be simple, can we put different rbd objects with initial speed in different time into dop net,by coping the shape and velocity of the box when it hit the ground into dop network.
