Hello!
I'm reasonably new to the entire 3D area, and after continuing to use Houdini 11 on the side for the last few months I finally
made the transition to Houdini 12.
However, for some reason, I can't seem to apply my normal maps made in CrazyBump (tangent space normal maps) through the Mantra Surface shader like I used to,
it just doesn't seem to have any effect in H12, neither in the viewport or the render.
After browsing around I couldn't really find anything that specifically relates to my problem apart from one thread on the official site forums saying
something along the lines of this feature is currently broken? But I somewhat doubt that this kind of feature could be broken in this specific version?
Anyway, I was just hoping I could get some light shed on the matter? and if there is another method in applying the normal, but like I said, I'm quite new
to Houdini and aren't 100% familiar with the capabilties of the programme.
Hope someone can help,
Dan.
