Fisrt time i use houdini for all the aspects  (love it more and more :) )  :

Thanks,

For the big lines :
- a curve animated with some bones , extruded , carved
- copy sop  and wire deformed along curves
- time shift the different modules
- some lattice to correct the overall shapes

i like it very much because it is so houdinish . Bravo !!

as a sugestion i wd say maybe you could post this and share with ' the other side ' too .. ( official Houdini forum , WIP section )

@EZZ :  I don't think a tutorial would be a good idea , since i don't know houdini very well yet , and i don't think my workflow were very optimized
