The help file shows there is a SOP with that name but I can't find it. Is it obsolete?

Thanks.

It's not available in the tab menu. You'll have to instantiate it through hscript/HOM.
I write python and break things.

As the help card states, it's mainly designed to remove overlapping and duplicate proxy geometry generated by the old autorig tools. It's not particularly fast or flexible. It was probably the first Python SOP I ever wrote way back in the day. There might be a slightly better version available on www.houdinitoolbox.com but if so, I don't know that it's really that much more useful.
I write python and break things.

I didn't know you wrote that one. Sweet :D

Any other cool operators you made when you were at Sidefx? I imagine most, if not all python operators :)

Also if you are using 12 the PolyDoctor and Clean SOPs will both take care of overlapping polys..

Thanks Jesse. So in case of best practices, how can you find out which operators are preferred? It seems like some of these operators listed in the help file are sort of redundant, i.e. something else is preferred.

Prefer ones which you can find on the TAB menu. :)
