1) How to change Avatar ? If I try to do that I'm redirected to Gravatar. I created my account there and now what ? I hope I don't have to read "Example Plugins and Code" part of this site to setup avatar on Orbolt ?
2) I don't like that it installs automatically everything in some strange folder. Is there no option to just download and install it manually where and how I want ?

Gravatar usually takes anywhere from 5 to 15 minutes to update your avatar. If it still isn't working, let us know at support@orbolt.com and we'll sort it out.

All your assets should be in a static folder (In Windows: C:\Users\username\Documents\houdini12.1\asset_store). It could be useful to have an option to just download assets into any folder; we'll look into it.

Also, thanks everyone for checking out Orbolt. We most definitely had you in mind throughout development and look forward to seeing what you can do.

what is the editorial license exactly ?  I read through the description,  it seems anything with an 'editorial license' can only be used on news or editorial ?

"Customer may only use the Asset for legitimate, editorial purposes on some issue of journalistic, editorial, cultural or otherwise newsworthy value. Editorial uses include, without limitation, use of the Asset in a news program, news-related website, or news-related video media"

the power of Houdini is the ability to dive into networks and learn. locking OTLs is a very very bad move.

I totally agree with this. People that usually share their stuff in the communities are now going to think twice before they do that and
probably chose to sell their scenes instead. One of the greatest things about Houdini has always been the fact that there's so many great resources
around that allow people to learn and self-educate themselves. Not a fan at all of the locked OTLs at all, just sharing my personal feelings here :)

Well, you can say that is insane if you want, but I think $25 is not a bad price for something that took a day of my time to put together (and if you have not tried out the asset, please don't be so quick to say how overpriced you think it is.  Try it first, or watch the demo and then think about the time it took to put it together).  Anyway, if people don't like the price of an asset they do not have to buy it.  That is simple enough.  Or, if they would rather not spend half a day rebuilding the thing I did they can just make an easy $25 purchase.  A lot of people routinely spend half that on lunch out here in LA.  So, whatever.  I see the assets in the store as something that will be mostly used by novice and mid-level houdini artists - the type of people who are either not knowledgable or not inclined enough to put these tools together themselves.  There's room for all types to purchase assets.  On the contrary, I think a lot of people are undervaluing their time and effort in putting assets together and undercharging.
