About Me

Hello there, my name is Erwin Heyms and I wanted to welcome you to my 'about me' page, but let me tell you about myself.

I’ve been intrigued by video games from the first moment I came in contact with a computer. I love finding out how things work, and as such I quickly dove into the world of creating custom levels in games like Stunt and Jetpack. I found my passion for level design when I started modding for the unreal engine, with which I have since and still am creating custom maps and vehicles. In high school, when I heard the NHTV in Breda was starting up a game design course, I decided I wanted to turn my long time hobby into my future profession. After gaining my HAVO diploma, I enrolled at IGAD as an artist and have since decided I want to specialize in procedural generation & technical level design. My most recent project is the Procedural FPS level generator.

And in about a month, I will be attending Siggraph 2012 in Los Angeles, perhaps I'll see you there.

I am currently progressing through my graduation year and am seeking a future job in the game industry. I am hoping for a job in a fun, creative and hard working environment, where I can further develop my skills and have a great time creating video games.
