Hello, there Over the years, I have learned so much from many talented and experienced vfx artists and TDs from Method and Rhythm & Hues etc, Odforce has been a incredible houdini fx community as well, seeing the awesome works from fellow vfx artists are very inspiring. So here I want to share my latest fx showreel, which showcases some of the main projects I have worked on over the past years. https://vimeo.com/155240324 Thanks for watching, and hope you enjoy it! Nice work! As a critique it's simply a boring scene, where as that photo posted above is interesting; sun flare, rock, deeper blue polarised sky.

As the first step: string pointgroups[] = detailintrinsic(0, "pointgroups"); s@name = pointgroups[0] + "_" + itoa(@id); It will take first point's group in alphabetical order. Name SOP chooses group differently, probably the last group in the order they was created. It's probably impossible to recreate such behavior inside VEX and completely replace Name SOP in such corner cases.

That's really cool! For my money, the shadows should have more blue, there should be some sharper lines and cusps, the snow is a little too glittery, and the white 3d particles resting on top look like white 3d particles resting on top.
