  1. Houdini 17 Wishlist

Hello , here are my wishes for 17.0 ; I would like to have more modelling tools (inspired from my 3ds max experience) -Some preview handle to manipulate bezier curve (i don't know if it's possible with the order parameter) but it will be easier to construct shape with smooth and hard angles and also with bezier surface (i miss the 3ds max patch tool ...i think it's great to produce stylized shapes) -A polysplit edge loop or insert loop that respect curvature (like in 3ds max) -and also a make circle that respect curvature
  2. ..And by the way , you don't need to do this in a for each loop !
  3. Hello JKeil In the Copy SOP you can use pscale attribute on point to control the scale of the copy i made you an example from your file for the rotation you can use orient attribute (but it is hard to manage cause it's a quaternion) or rotate the up vector (like you used the tangent one) look at this doc you have all the attribute you can use on point for controlling instances : http://www.sidefx.com/docs/houdini/copy/instanceattrs Benjamin modeling practice02_ben.hipnc
  4. I'm not sure to understand exactly what you mean in your second post but in the first one you were asking about deleting something like @index=10-35 . In the delete sop you can delete by expression : @index>10 && @index<35 it will remove all the point(if it's a point attribute) having the @index value between 10 and 35. Was it what you were asking for ? Now i realize that for sure it wasn't :-D It seems like a difficult problem you have there , hope you will find a workaround ...
