Robinson did not specify any particular interpolation method, but it is reported that he used Aitken interpolation himself. The PLEN column is the length of the parallel of latitude, and the PDFE column is multiplied by 0.5072 to obtain the distance of that parallel from the equator. Meridians of longitude are equally spaced on each parallel of latitude.
2. ## Tips and Help request for tornado sim

Hi Guys, I'm very new to houdini and I've been trying to learn fluid sim lately. From few days I've been trying a tornado system from tutorial from 3dbuzz and a technical paper (http://repository.tamu.edu/bitstream/handle/1969.1/ETD-TAMU-2011-05-9417/DWIVEDI-THESIS.pdf?sequence=2). I've completed the particle system part but the fluid sim is out of my league for now. I'd be very grateful for any tips to convert that to fluid sim. I want to use this opportunity to start learning about fluids. Thank you.. I've also attached the final file I came up with.
