  1. Hi! I'm trying to build a simple constraint network with two sets of wires (pink and black). Each set of lines should be connected within itself, and should be repelled to the other set. The wires simulate ok and the constraint of WireGlue works to keep them together. The problem is when integrating the WirePush (Bullet soft constraint, restlength 1.5), it all gets connected weirdly. I have tried it with Spring constraint and it's the same, it doesn't push the wires at all just gets jumbled. I can't seem to figure out what's wrong as I have followed examples of merging multiple constraints by creating and assigning @constraint_name. Any help would be super appreciated! network_constraints_question.hipnc
  2. Hi All! Relatively new Houdini user hear already stretching my very finite knowledge to breaking point! I'm attempting to create a shattering car windscreen effect whereby the glass bends and contorts overall but at the same time breaks apart into smaller shards. I have my deforming windscreen geometry that I've brought in as an Alembic import (The animated geo's from a Maya Ncloth sim). I also have a static version of my windscreen geometry that I've shattered into glass fragments. I was hoping there might be a way to set up a constraint network whereby the glass fragments stick to the deforming Alembic geometry (Which I've turned into a Static RBD) while at the same time allowing me to pick and chose when the glass fragments fall away from the deforming object. I'm able to glue all the glass fragments together but having these follow along with the deforming imported geometry is a little beyond me at the moment Any suggestions for the set-up would be massively Appreciated!! J.
  3. Hi guys, I decided it was time for me to learn how to properly use constraint networks and I'm wondering if anyone has any pointers. Specifically, how to get constraints in a constraint network to behave like hinge constraints or some other type of constraint other than simple glue. I am using H13 and would like to be able to make constraint networks for RBD packed objects. Thanks
