  1. How do I achieve this similar fx using POP Grains. John kunz has full tutorial on the same, but he is using Vellum grains. i wanna try doing this fx using pop grains. Attached .hip is my try. i can only tend to get disintegration, on the first frame. rest of the frames are not taking my color transfer , i know i am missing only one or two lines of wrangle.   2. So I'm trying to do this http://mos.3dworldmag.com/TDW229-pluralsight.zip <- Tutorial. Basically it's a "simple" teleportation/transmog of an object using particles. I've made it about halfway through but since they changed the materials from SHOPs I've hit a wall. The material nodes make my brain completely fry and compared to the SHOP stuff I can't seem to match it up ( I'm assuming you can ). I'll include my Hip file below for you to see where I'm at.   3. So ive been working on a particle disintegration for a couple days now and I just ran into a huge issue! My teacher said it looks like its produces sprite cards instead of particles! anyone have a way to make it work as needed? need simple particles instead of sprite cards! PLEASE HELP!!!
  4. Hello, I have done another disintegration effect on a sphere, that I need for the end of my animation for university. I have alembic cached out a girl from Maya. It only has subtle animation on it. The girl geometry needs to be swapped with the sphere so the effect is applied. I have attached a file with the cache's in it but without my attempt at swapping the geometry as it crashes Houdini.   5. Hello, I am a third year animation student starting vfx. I have a simple disintegration animation for my major project that I have done on a sphere and now I need to transfer it to a hand animation that I have done in Maya and cached into an Alembic. As the animation and FBX camera export start at frame 1671, I changed the simulation to start on that frame. However, the simulation has stopped working and I'm not sure if I have transferred the effect correctly. I have provided the files, thank you! shot16.abc shot16.fbx I have provided new files!
