  1. Hey guys, I tried to import a fbx from mixamo (walking animation) and wanted to add some fem, but as soon as I add it the walk animation stops, there is a way to have both things? Thanks!
  2. Hey Guys, I am trying to get POPs to emit a finite element. I have a simple setup where I am birthing a particle every 50 frames and having this fed into DOPs where the finite element solver takes over. The problem is I cant seem to source more then 1 instance of the object into Dops. I have attached a scene file I hope someone can help. Thanks, Clive Balls_Test_Fem.hipnc
  3. Has anyone tried masking fields in Houdini while using Finite Elements? I am trying to mask the Gravity field in a Finite Element simulation in Houdini. But I cannot get it to work.
  4. Hey guys, I have this scene with a lot of berries falling. If I select all of the berries and aply a FEM (shelf) at all of it, the action gets very slow and causes closer berries mesh to "fuse" one into another. The reason it gets slow/merge is the solidembed thing. It takes too long to make it for all the berries. My doubt: is there a way to make only one FEM berry and then make muliple copies of it, this way it doesn't have to tetrahedralize all of the berries? Thx, Alvaro
  5. Hello Everybody, I'm working on a Cloth Simulation in which I'd like to have a set of points to be Pin Constrained. But I'd like to change the Pinned point count over time, so it releases the constraints as the animation goes on. In the documentation on constraints I've found this: How to change the points that are constrained with the pin constraint during simulation By default, the Constrained Points list does not expect the points to change. However, there is a way to work around this and have the list freshly evaluated by DOPs on every frame. Right Click on the Pin Constraint node and select Allow Editing on Contents. Dive into the Pin Constraint node and select anchorobjpointgrouppos1. Change the Point Group parameter to Set Always. See the Anchor: Object Point Group Position help for more information on this node. http://www.sidefx.com/docs/houdini15.0/dyno/constraints So I've tried to do these steps but I couldn't get it to work for some reason. Maybe I'm missing something obvious. I've uploaded a very simple scene file in which I've grouped a set of points and animated the grouping bounding box. If it's no too much trouble would you guys mind taking a look at it and see if anyone can help me out with this issue? Any help or advice is much appreciated. Thanks for you time. Cheers, Laszlo cloth_animated_pinConstraint_v001.hip
  6. Wondering if anyone could shed some light on translating The Denting Spheres example in the Cloth Masterclass using 13 Finite Solver?
