  3. Hello all, Have been racking my brains/this forum on something seemingly quite simple, but not getting anywhere... Basically, I would like to match the scale/orientation of one set of points, based on another. Then be able to extract those 'transform' paramaters. For example, if i have a pointcloud A, with 10 points, which has been re-scalled/oriented to create Pointcloud B (in a separate process, I don't have access to those transf params). How would i then re-orient it to match? I have a photogrametry pc, which i am trying to match a tracked camera to. The issue is that the camera track is coming it at origin, so I need to transform to match the original pc. I have isolated 10 identically positioned (not identical ptnum) points from the pc & tracking data to use as 'calibrators', but can't figure out the best/most efficient next step in doing the re-orient/scale. Any help, tips, or pointers in the right direction for threads would be very much appreciated as always.
  4. hey I cant figure out how to resize smoke fields when using clustering via point instancing. When I use the smoke source, it wont take the clusters into account, instead using the bound of all clusters together. But I like to resize the smoke clusters accordingly see attached hipfile SMOKE_CLUSTER_TRACKING.hip
  5. Hello good people, 2 quick questions regarding importing track data in Houdini: 1) I have single tracker tracked in nuke and I want to import that track movement in Houdini. How to do that? 2) If I have track data in text file (say track.txt), how to import it in houdini and have same exact movement? Thanks in advance.
  6. Hi! I tracked some footage in PF Track, and everything seemed good. My test geo didn't slip or slide around. I exported it as Houdini Script. Brought it into Houdini, trackers all showed up along with the camera. But when I put the image sequence into the Camera background everything is sliding. The trackers don't match up with the background. I don't think my track was as way off as it seems with the background plate. Is there another reason why background sequence and trackers wouldn't be matching up? Any information is great! Thanks!
