bhughes Posted August 26, 2010 Share Posted August 26, 2010 I've been asked about modeling collisions between people and Segways and people and Scooters or Powered Wheelchairs. In looking around it's been suggested that the Houdini community has the tools, and might have an interest in helping. The Americans with Disabilities Act is about to be revised and it will include a new category for "other power-driven mobility devices" and it calls out the Segway as used by US veterans (see Segs4Vets.org) specifically. What we are looking for is a realistic animation of a standing person being run into by a Segway, and the same person being run into by a Scooter or Power wheel chair. We believe you'd rather be hit by the Segway - and are looking for a safe way to explore collisions. There is no budget, but, a small fee could probably be raised. Anyone interested in helping?
