Hi,
In attachment you can find fully featured BulletSOP 2.0 beta v5!

BulletSOP is implementation of Bullet library 2.8(bulletphysics.org) inside SideFx Houdini. Its a plugin for creating incredible rigid body simulations.
Primary it is single-thread application, but speed is very impressive. Memory footprint as well.

The most important features of this release is that Its free and without limits(until now up to 5000poly objects). So now you can create real stunning massive simulations.
This version is for Windows(64bit), Linux(64bit, gcc4.4) and Mac OSX(10.7), but OSX version is not stable on my system :(

In attachment you can find example file with a lot of scenes, which are which propably the best learning resources at this moment.
There is old tutorial(https://vimeo.com/57198443) for alpha version as well.
I will make more tutorials for every node. And remember "Details view" is your best friend!!!

Changes:
- added motion blur output + example scene
- faster Delete duplicity for constraints(2.6M constr. take only 4s)
- fixed btLoader
- added % info to btModify
- few optimalization in btTransform

Added new scenes:
- building collapse scene(falling floor)
- building scene with "snake"
- high poly interior details on voronoi pieces
- transform soft ropes with rigid bodies
- added and changed few others examples

I have reinstalled my OS few days ago and when I installed Houdini I had not DSO folder!

Just one more idea is that it needs to be "dso" folder, not "Dso", "DSO", ... folder. This is not problem on Windows, but on Linux It is!

edit: And do you have gcc4.4 version? Not older?

Thanks Milan, your plugin is totally awesome :)

But I have two questions about things I discovered while working with it..

First, are you planning to add other forces like drag for example? Cause Iam working on an explosion and adjustable drag could be really useful I think...

Second is it somehow possbile to limit a force to a specific object group?? To a single object it seems to be possbile with the BT_INDEX, but how to a group of pieces for example? At the moment Iam using a workaround to archieve this effect. Iam copy stamping the BT_INDEX on my force points with all the indexes of the objects I want to affect, but perhaps there is an easier solution..

Thanks again and greetings :)

One more question...can you say when you will release a version without the 5000 objects limit?

You don't need to use Force(s) for this, you can animate, set, multiply, ... velocity of objects with btModify(RBDs tab)

True, only solution at this moment is copying same force with different object index and applying forces is very fast inside solver, but not so user-friendly, I will look at it.

One more question...can you say when you will release a version without the 5000 objects limit?

This(beta v5) is without limit!!!

hey, that obsurvey link just takes me to a thing that says "thank you" - is it supposed to do that?

It's probably because somebody has voted from your IP or computer. Or maybe some problem on server.

Anyway, I think that survey has enough votes, for making some results.

There will be one more beta which will introduce btCompound shape, so you will be able to combine more shapes to one object, which is very useful. Edited by MilanSuk

By any chance do you have Avast ? Because it happen to me and just disabling Avast for an hour solve the problem.

You're right, this was my problem, so I installed it and I had to change project settings, because It seems that 12.5 has many changes in HDK, but source code is fine, so I didn't change anything.

In attachment you can find version for Windows 64bit!

this compilation for 316 can't work for version343,weird...

previous compilation for H12.1 dont have such minor version restriction.

yes, It's pain in the ass, but you can install more version of Houdini and just make RBD sims data in version where BulletSOP works. I will compile BulletSOP for every production build and of course there will be option to buy source code, so you will be completely independent!
