recapturing bones

hi,

just made a two leg character, and i captured it and made a walk cycle of it!the mesh is too heavy,i had used convert for nurbs to polygons..when i reduce the u and v of it,the mesh size gets reduced,but the bone affected to it is displaced?

how will i be able to recapture the geometry with the existing bones?I want same animation to be maintained also!

any suggestions guys!

If you don't have any CaptureEdit/CaptureEditOverride/CapturePaint/CaptureLayerPaint SOPs in your network, then it should just work. Otherwise, you would need to lock the weights of your old geometry and then transfer them over to the new mesh using AttribTransfer.
