Shader and image planes

Hello,

I need to know if it's possibile to create a shader where I drive the shading process according the image plane: if the image plane is X, the object has to be totally transparent, if the image plane is Y, the object has to be rendered normally.

My aim is to exclude that object from image plane X, I don't need it, but because it's in front of another object, it occludes everything.

I know I can use more than one ROP node, but I need to have all passes in the same EXR sequence.

Thank you in advance.

I can't figure a way to achieve what you describe with only one ROP. Maybe there could be a pre-render/frame script process, but i dare not venture that far. Perhaps you can do it with a chain of ROPs that are then fed to COP's and there the channels are combined into a single EXR with the desired settings.
