HI,

do you export from 3ds max with mdd (point Cache) extension.mdd

then you can try the mdd node

I do not have 3dsmax to try but, from other tested I made I used this node "mdd"

Cheers

Not to sure if this maybe of any help for your idea.

I just made a quick looked on google , just kind of curious , because I did this test several years ago , with another 3d app (xsi)

Added on:

I looked into the page, and it seems that the file is not available:

I guess you can look for something like this.

pc2mdd.rar

cheers and good look

In this thread there is Python code to read pc2 files. It just need to be pasted in PythonSOP with some parameters present. If you don't know how to do this, that OTL is an old version of such, the above code meant to speed it up. There is also C++ SOP to read pc2 files attached to my post there. If you don't mind burden with compiling it, it's fast and still works for H13 albeit was written for 11 or so. I can hand you Linux binaries, but no Windows builds around.

take care,

skk.

Actually I've managed to write out an .obj sequence, which was pretty easy. For my scene it works great!

But I will take a look at the thread when I have some time, because exporting .obj is pretty slow.

Thanks guys! :)
