Follyx Posted March 24, 2015 Share Posted March 24, 2015 (edited) Hi,after installing the apprentice version on ubuntu 14.1, the very first window with the license manager is black. Just the radio buttons are white. No Text, nothing. As Driver I installed the tested proprietary Nvidia binary version 331.113 but neither with this nor with the other 4 drivers wich are included in the standard installation of ubuntu solve the problem. matsbt Posted March 25, 2015 Share Posted March 25, 2015 I have had this problem as well under Slackware running nVidia R340.76. I think the culprit is Qt5 and non-US locales. Luckily, there is a workaround you could try. Create an alias for each Houdini command in .bashrc: alias houdini='LC_ALL=C houdini'alias hkey='LC_ALL=C hkey'alias gplay='LC_ALL=C gplay'alias mplay='LC_ALL=C mplay' Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
