The subject area Interactive Media trains its students in the conceptualization, production and the artistic design of interactive applications such as games, apps or media installations. In this context, Transmedia/Games Producers supervise the production across all media platforms: they direct their teams, manage the budgets and hold the reins during all stages of the project’s realization.Why should I study it? Interactive Media students at the Institute of Animation learn to work across media platforms in interdisciplinary teams. During their studies, they create prizewinning games, apps, media installations and interfaces. Alumni often start-up their own successful companies, for instance in the field of games or media consulting and –design. Since students are mentored by experts from the industry, thus already creating an invaluable network, graduates prove themselves in internationally renowned companies just as well. Future Transmedia/Games Producers are often sent to festivals and expositions to represent their project, thus getting to know the international media landscape especially well. As a plus, no tuition fees are being charged.Who can apply? Candidates for the two-year program Transmedia/Games Producing should hold a first degree, for instance in media, communication or business. Alternatively, they may prove their suitability by providing evidence of at least two years working experience in the film- and media industries, or, when being exceptionally talented, by showing samples of their work. The Admissions Office is currently accepting applications for Transmedia/Games Producer for fall semester 2015/16, the deadline is August 15.How can I apply?
