Forces in Solid Objects

Is there a way to visualize and access the local forces in a solid/FEM object?

There doesn't seem to be any attributes of force / stress / strain, or even kinetic energy with the energy attributes turned on in the fem solver (the Sidefx masterclass in FEM had a bouncing ball colored by the kinetic energy).

The object in the DOP network only has the visualization tab for thickness, penetration, velocity and UVW.

even it being an old topic, I've just tried this out and was able to visualise the Kinetic and Potential densities this way (after enabling the attributes into the FEM object):

I am fairly new to Houdini and I'm still figuring out these things. On the FEM Masterclass video this visualisation seems really simple to toggle, but I couldn't make it to work in DOPs.

anyways, I'd also like to know if there are any better ways.

Hey Ed, that masterclass is outdated. It works for the basics but a lot of things have changed since that version.

I would ad a geometry wrangle connected + multisolver to visualize it in DOPs. There's a quick example attached.

Cheers,
Alvaro
