    • Could be better, lasso and brush should work the same as box

    • Confusing, don't seem to work the way I expect

I know I enjoy working in the viewport immensely. The current tools are great but I often find a need for some additional tools to speed things up.

Wish list:

* Lasso to have same modifiers as Box

* Brush picking (a favourite of mine) needs the same modifiers, and a quick radius adjustment (like Alt+LMB for paint tools - and stylus pressure). I kinda wish this tool had a volatile key to enable it temporarily. I think this'd be useful when you need to temporarily make rapid selections.

* Selection walking

* Selection grow, shrink, border

* Select boundary

* Select quad strip (like the awesome edgeloops)

Any others?

I'm missing slighty classic backface culling; I think it was mentioned in a post on sidefx/forum just recently: So far faces / points get selected even if there are not visible from the current view, but their normals point into the camera direction.

If we could script those selection tool modes and assign a hotkey for these it would be even nicer, i.e. select an edge, try finding it's loop, deselect every 3rd edge or select all faces whose area is between value x and y.
