Copy/Paste Color?

Hi All,

How do you copy and paste a color from one material to another?

I have a FBX model which comes in with FBX shaders that have built-in colors. I want to convert all those shaders to Mantra shaders but preserve the initial colors that came with the model. I know I can copy and paste R G and B channel numbers individually but it would be nice to just grab a hex code or something in one step...

you know you can right click on a parm name and copy that parm, yeah?  that will copy the entire parm (all three channels) and then you can right click on a new parm to paste in a number of different ways.  create channel references, paste the values, paste the entire channel, etc.

if you do this a lot, tho, you might consider some kind of shelf tool/python script you could run on a set of nodes to create new surface nodes from fbx materials -- maybe even removing the fbx material and creating the new material with the same name as the fbx one.
