How to do 360 View for VR

Recommended Posts

Here is a recreation of the vr camera from Arnold...it is a CVEX lens shader and does over/under or side by side 360 renders

apply it to a camera that is set to Lens shader and render!

best to use square aspect ratio, and over/under for a setup like what you have shown

Did you try selecting Polar or Cylindrical camera projection ?

It renders a complete 360 image.

That would be fine for non-VR viewing. The YouTube example from the original poster is just a spherical camera. Spherical plus VR is very different though, the second eye basically has a different camera position for every pixel sample in the image.
