Yours didn't work because the loop only had access to one point at a time so when it tried to find its nearest neighbour there was none to be found. So we somehow had to bring in the rest of the points into the loop as well.

Attached is an updated version which hopefully makes a bit more sense and is probably a better way of doing it.

well, that´s truly an old setup and also a completely outdated one. nowadays you may want to use pointcloud-functions in vex instead ...
