Yeah, had unintended output-input loops happen a lot when H16 was new, somehow the new snapping etc. makes it very easy to happen. I got rather cautious now, but also wondered if it shouldn't be prevented by default.

I was going to RFe a control for that but it's already there! Connection Snap Radius in Preferences/Network Editor, Nodes and Trees. I turn it right down to avoid the loop snapping.

First of all, I'm going to make a request repeat I guess:

adding 2 VEX functions to check and set edge groups.

I know there are "vertex groups" functions, but they don't work with the native group nodes or almost any other SOPs.

...

They did it! Thanks Sesi :D

icon_vex.jpg Houdini 16.0.597 Added VEX functions for working with edge groups:
  • expandedgegroup
  • inedgegroup
  • nedgesgroup
  • setedgegroup

An option for snapshot to auto-grab the Frame number and an image of open parameter pane. Stepping back through snaps would open the render snap, identify the frame number the image of the open parameter pane. Similar to takes but more for look dev.

This is a small thing but changing nodes position, up or down like you do in Nuke.

Ctrl + up or down arrow.

Pretty much anything that unifies Nuke and Houdini will improve the life. I'm endlessly failing now by double clicking nodes in H to bring up parameters, and shaking/y-key cutting in Nuke to break connections. doh!

Dot node can survive Y scissoring. The dot is persistent, if you click on the dot again with Alt.

EDIT: btw you can also color the dot.

true but default persistence seems better - there is no issue with a proliferation of dis-contiguous dots :)  Perhaps its just a common Nuke workflow that I'm missing.

Does anyone else want to be able to lock the network box so you cant select it?

I'm constantly marque-selecting nodes and accidentally selecting the Network box.

Another one that always gets me - when you drag a top connector to an input and all the nodes get connected, instead of just that top one! Really want a preference for this.

Also can we somehow disable the Network box highlight when we drag a node within it too please.  Maybe keep it for when you drag to a new network box.

Maybe just limit the highlight style so it's generally less obtrusive, too.

Thank you for solution.)

Guys,i am not skillful in python or hscript.(
Anybody can help with simple shelf script which is add Null node on selected Dot or even for all selected dots.
I think it will be very useful for all.
Thanks!

1. Faster Boolean SOP

2. Multi second input for Boolean SOP

3. OpenCL some part of calculations in Boolean SOP

4. Auto welded pieces when using groups in Boolean SOP

5. Sure, it would be amazing if Boolean SOP will have smooth beveled corners :|

6. Symmetrical modeling

7. Move Brush like in TopoBuild SOP. But without snapping to ref mesh

8. improved OpenCL integration for SOPs

9. Interactive bezier\spline curve creation

10. Fat lines in handles

11. Quick pivot manipulation

12. Revamped scale manipulator:
