vel shall ony affect areas where streamers are

hey,

I want some curl noise to affect my flip particles which works. I also want only the actual vel streams to affect the sim. Unfortunately everywhere the volume box is present flip gets affected. An easy solution for this? Only happens when I add noise to the vel field.

Check out Stefan's Wind Tunnel tutorial. By using two SourceVolumes you can separate density from velocity and gain a little more control. Each SourceVolume can come from a different shaped geometry. Maybe what your looking for..?

Cool, so how is this different than just using the Multiply mode on the SourceVolume?

Just tried, doesnt seem to work. I guess when theres vel everywhere its hard for the source volume to multily anything away
