Setting Creation Frame of RBD Object Breaks Interaction with Flipsolver?

Hi all, learning Houdini here and I've been doing quite a bit of messing around just to learn the software.

I was attempting to have a single RBD Object drop into a flow of fluid on a plane. Set it up and everything is working.

I then decided  I wanted to delay the spawn of the RBD object to allow the FLIP fluid to do some initial simulating, so I set the RBD Creation Frame  to frame 10, checked Solve on Creation Frame and simmed. The RBD Object would not interact with the flip fluid anymore, it would hover just above the surface not affecting the particles whatsoever. Changed the Creation back to frame 1 and it's normal again.

I've searched to no avail yet, anything I should be aware of with this and why creating the object at anything later than frame 1 is breaking it? Many thanks.
