Redshift attributes

Recommended Posts

Hi all, i'm giving a try to Redshift, but i'm facing a problem:

There's any way to use the Cd attribute from my model to control the color of a Redshift material?

I found the Rohan Dalvi tutorial and it's great, but that's with particle via the ParticleLookUp node.

I can't find a way to make this thing work with a mesh....

Thanks in advance ^^

Just add your ObjParms to the object and use the point attribute node to route any attributes to shader values you wish to control. Common routing is Cd to diffuse color.

Other attributes are also possible such as this example of a procecedural planet created via noise attributes.

Awesome, it's working! Thanks a lot

As last thing to betterl control the result, is there a Fit Range equivalent node in Redshift for the material?

It is called rsChangeRange. You could, of course, pre-fit any attribute before you reach shading using standard VEX fit functions as well.
