Geometry animation not sticking to model

I have 2 SOPS, 2 geometry nodes, both are animated animal models, eg. a bird.

Say in geometry_01, I have created a blast node in which I am selecting an area that I wanted - the feathers on the wings blades, followed by an null node - OUT_selection

Then in geometry_02, I used an object merge node, in which it is pointing towards OUT_selection. While it seems to work in the viewport, as soon as it has been rendered, it appears that the selection I have made in geometry is not 'sticking' to the mode. Am I missing something here?
