Houdini origami problem

Recommended Posts

I encountered a very thorny problem. It is about folding thick paper. I made a piece of “digital asset” in accordance with a tutorial I saw, but its doubly-folded part did not perfectly form a sharp angle. If I do not subdivide the crease, it cannot reach 180 degrees. Is there a better solution to the repeated 60-degree folding of a strip-shaped object? My goal is to make a handiwork shaped like a regular triangle. Actually, I have hand-folded one like this (see the picture below). I want to present an animation showing its folding process, so I’ll do it step by step. Could you kindly help me with this?
