Obj+mtl -> Vop

Hi there,

since is first time I have to do something like this I prefer to post here some help request meanwhile I'll investigate and get the needed knowledge to archieve this task....

subject .. get VOP networks (surface shaders) from .mtl file ..

I'm exporting OBJ sequences from XSI which will be then rendered (probably) with mantra.. and i'd like to create the VOP network by parsing the .mtl file

My idea was a python script which creates the needed hscript to build the VOP network, this is for two reasons... refresh/improve my python knowledge... and finally get the needed knwledge with Hscript to build network from scripting.

then after the FILE SOP I'll append a shader SOP with all group assigned to the correct material.

thanks in advance for any easier way to archieve this or any suggestion.. i'm sure this is a simple task ... but as for everything you do first time... will be a nice task for me to work on.
