Yes a video would be great, i've seen/used the ones by Peter and they are very useful.

The thing with the plane is this. I think it is a valuable tool for a modeler, but all the reference points can be chosen from your model other than say a world axis , (which could be one of your options).

I would rather just choose points, edges etc, from my model rather than bring in the construction plane to do this. If i want to flatten a primitive, well i could pick a primitive as a reference for whose normal can be used as the axis to flatten to and then i could choose a point to reference the point at where i want it flattened. Using the construction plane seems too messy. I have to orient the plane to how i want to flatten my primitive and so on, ( so not only do i now want to put my primitve into position but the construction plane as well). By using what is already there you save yourself time.
