Attribute Composite

Ive got two capture/paint sop chains for a single piece of geo and I'd like to blend them together before finally adding the deform. Putting it all together with attribute transfer is easy enough, but this is sort of an all-or-nothing approach when Im really looking for a per-point weight-mask way of blending the two solutions together. I've been playing around with "attribute composite" but not really getting any results. Can anyone help me out with this?
