Working in creative partnership with Derivative, Inc., 3DSite develops award winning Theme Park attractions for leaders in the industry featuring sizzling real time, interactive animation using proprietary technology. We are seeking highly motivated individuals to ride the next wave in live animation, working in a dynamic, team oriented atmosphere. You'll be a key player in vibrant company and contribute from story development to final product.

CHARACTER SETUP / RIGGING

Position Summary

Working closely within team members, set up innovative animation controls, apply weighting and deliver characters to animators.

Job Description

. Team with modelers, animators and pipeline programmers to:

. Perform setup and weighting for a given character

. Intelligently design user interfaces and controls

. Apply creative solutions to any issues related to pre-rendered and real time characters.

Qualifications

. At least 1 year of production knowledge of Maya (character rigging) & Houdini (general knowledge a must)

. 2+ years work experience in 3D animation, visual effects or producing CG characters and creatures for visual media

. Strong understanding of complex setup ideas and the ability to problem-solve

. Ability to work with closely with modelers, animators and programmers

. Strong communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal)

. Animation and/or modeling experience is a plus

. Proficiency with UNIX is a plus
