Sticky - Wormy Shader Question ???

Hi all,

I need to create a sticky worm or parasite shader - something like in the picture below

but the thing is I don't have an experience in VOPs - Shader writing.

It's obvious that I will need some subsurface scattering kinda stuff but

I am a little bit confused at this stage

so need some guidence here.

argh.. I lost my appetite for dinner again.........

yup, SSS is definitely the big one on this. You might want to observe the specular highlight as well as a small amount of environment reflection on this and find a way to comp it. The hardest part might be to get the specular highlight to look convincing. And also, since that stuff is wet, so hence I say look into a tiny bit of reflection or reflected light etc.

Anyways, just off the top of my head from looking at the picture....... argh....
