icaro Posted November 3, 2008 Share Posted November 3, 2008 I looking over my system to renew everything and clean up and renew my pipeline. Tested many system with Apprentice all 64 bit. Ubuntu 64 different (7.1 and 8.04) version seems to work good and windows server 2008 (stable vista 64) converted to workstation seems stable with god memory management. system all quads with 8 g memory. all nivedia cards, quadro to lowlevels cards. I thinking about dualboot ubuntu 64 and windows server 2008 converted to workstation question 1: Anyone having experience with Houdini and windows server 2008 during production. question 2: suggestion about where to put the network licence server on windows or linux. to support both systems easy managed.
