  1. Thought I'd share this just in case somebody else has the same issue and can't solve it with anti-aliasing settings (or doesn't know how, like me ). I had the same problem with an .obj imported from Maya: when I assigned a material in Houdini it came out checkered. I just had to put zero in the Specular Anisotropy, in the Reflect/Base/Reflect Lights tab. Probably not the best solution but hey, it worked for me.
  2. Hi, I am trying to emit a flip fluid from an animated object and make it spiral along the surface of the emitter while following the animation. The main problem I'm having is finding a way to integrate two custom velocities: the emitter velocity and the spiral velocity. Sourcing the emitter velocity in postsolve didn't help, nor did creating a velocity field from the emitting geometry and integrating that with the spiraling velocity. Any idea would be much appreciated. There must be a way to this (calculating velocity increment between frames and adding that back up..and that sort of business maybe) but I'm a noob and i don't know how. Just a few notes: animation not at object level + fluid not continuously emitting. I have attached a file to explain better what I'm trying to do. Thank you! Flip_Deforming_Geo.hip
