  1. Please add montreal Canada as well, As I know, Mokko Studio (Maya, Houdini, Naiad) Modus FX ( Houdini, XSI) New Bleed (not sure) are using Houdini. And I (from Modus FX) really need Houdini people for upcoming film projects.( Personally I really prefer people who has passion and who does not like to work with maya anymore lol) I know tons of good maya fx TD people including my friends so please do not take this wrong way. Thanks a lot anyway. That is really good updated list.(especially about DrD) And Sorry to kind use this post for add.....
  2. Hi, Using pop solver or sop solver can be more flexible than this though, You can use custom volume field as well. (same as using custom filed for smoke or pyro) or it'll make sim slow but you can use gas field vop and point cloud look up from the curve to change force(attract) radius and amplitude, etc. I hope this helps too!! Cheers test_flip_on_curve_volumevel.hipnc
  3. I am not sure without looking through your hip though( Looks awesome by the way!!), Did you try to use volumevoxeldiameter() expression for volume step size?? You can add this render parm to each object level. I often use this for volume. For high res volume, it gives me pretty good volume step size (accurate) to start rendering with. Especially if you scale camera or your volume, I think it's good to use. If you still have same issue, sorry I don't know what makes that and you should post this to SESI forum instead. Cheers
  4. One thing if you wanna make something like that Vimeo, I did not test but I think that You can use other field which can be just blured of your heat field but inverted one to blur vel field. Sorry for not testing this so may not work though.... Cheers
  5. sorry I forgot to click "Attach This File" Here you go. heatFLIP_feildBlend_vel.hipnc
  6. Hi, I am not sure your final goal though, What about this?? I attached file. I guess you wanna do something like this don't you?? I didn't put to much stuff not to make things too confused. I hope it helps!! Cheers
  7. Fist of all, it's not fare comparison. You should compare with Real Flow which is specialized for Liquid sim. So I hope this already can be answer for this. If you just want to focus on liquid sim, I would say go for naiad though. And these things is basically just one artist never be able to decide but company does. So I think what you wanna do is more important and pick best software. Again for liquid only(especially, large scale sim ), I would say go for Naiad. Cheers
  8. That is so nice. And I really appreciate that you can tell differences between Naiad and H12. About Sim time, Meshing Time, Ram usage, etc. This time we got H12, so I am really wondering if this is done with Naiad?? I should but I dont get Naiad installed right now so if you dont mind. I think as sim get larger, Naiad get better, but not sure. I guess lot a people wanna know about this. Thanks!!
  9. I totally agree with Jason. When I saw "instance procedural" in menu, I thought FINALLY!! but so far I can not make it work... At least need help(including cvex future)!!
