    seems a good example, but with animated objects, apparently, the effect is not the same. why allways boxs? In houdini I think: sim from bullet, eg:500.5000, 50000 small spheres..and you can manipulate the data very well, transf velocity from point to volume and go back to millons of particles. you can use a glue feature and a lot a lot of things.(and you not have to wait a week to see the results.)

  11. if you know what you want to achieve and if you've done it before, it is good to make with presets and then twikering. In real life when someone wants to give form to something, start make a simple line of smoke, only disipation in shpe tab, so that the opacity of things more complicated not allow us to see clearly. then add noise...scale sims not in frame 1
