  1. I fractured a box. It falls into another box and smashes... The pieces are flying all over and looks like shattering glass or something. Is there a simple way to put on some spring constraints or something so it breaks more "natural or cool" . Tried glue, but it just cuts off at impact point. Kind of splitting object in half. Want it to bend before breaking softly. Like a candy bar.

  3. can someone build a scene where a box (FEM object) collide with a tube (static) so it gets deformed and freeze deformation after/at impact and keeps getting simulated as an RBD object as deformed from impact? I just dont figure out how to make a collision so geometry dents, i look at tutorials, but just dont get it. Thank you thank you thank you... please please please....
  4. I tried to do a model, but when i export it it comes out all screwed. Its made up of shelf tool geometry and some curves with extrude volume. How do i combine everything to one single piece or fix this? i dont even know what the issue is...
  5. dont get it, can you make a falling box hitting a static box on the way so it deforms and then continues as a deformed object down to the floor or something? Trying to freeze the deformation on the box hitting the pole and keep simulating so it looks like a crash, then im going to embed the car model. Dont get that multiple solver / switch solver... im pretty new so i need help to keep going here... Would be very thankful
  6. Can i stop the cloth sim at a frame where a simulated cloth object has deformed and send it to another simulation so it keeps simulate but in deformed state from clot sim?
  7. I animated a rotor and fractured it, can someone show me how ta make it animate with keyframes and get bits flying off it when interacting with other objects? (helicopter crash is what i am going for) I got it fractured and following a keyframe animation, it breaks but all the parts are still following the animation so it becomes a tornado of rotoring pieces.

  9. RBDkeyframe 1: I tried do this RBDkeyframeActivate as shown in the video, but my objects dosent keep their speed from the key frame animation, they just stop dead anf falling to the ground. What do i miss? Cloth sim 2: In the Autodop and inside cloth object and Deformation there is a velocity, can this be animated? so a falling cloth suddenly gets a velocity value and flies to the side?
  10. thanks... can you set up a simple scene? And another problem i have is this: f@min_activation_impulse = 1; i put down an attribwrangle and paste in f@min_activation_impulse = 1; then i set the geometry to static in DOPnetwork, but it dosent activate when RBD hit it... tried set up the density but no luck... I think i got it working in v15, but now im on v16.
  11. How do i NOT fracture the "inside" of geometry or in depth... only along X or Y axis? and is there a way to control fracture easily with images etc ...
  12. I set up a car model, moved some objects around and scaled some here and there. Can i simulate an object and make all other stuff in my scene follow it? guess i can but what is the simplest way without go in and set same parameters and simulate everything by itself.
  13. I cant parent an object to one that's already been simulated, where do i parent what? Got a dynamic object flipping around, want to have a sphere inside it acting as an emitter for pyro. Dont want pyro on the flipping object, but on one inside it following the animation.
  14. I ticked the "Create Fracture Attribute" in finiteelementsolver1, can i use that attribute and put that in gravity node somehow to make the fractures be affected by gravity but them only.
