    You could create a density vdb from your particles or mesh, using VDB from particles or VDB from polygons.
  2. There's no built-in tool to regain the topology of your initial polys. Is there a reason why you're doing the round-trip?
  3. Hello, You could use a VDB from polygons, add Cd as a surface attributes, then in an Attribute VOP use Volume Sample with P as position.
