  1. Hi all, I wanted to create a scene where a comet/meteor is falling and collides with a building, my rbd simulation is done just pyro/flame & emitting smoke from comet is remaining. The comet isn't emitting flames and smoke while it continues to move I tried few ways and followed some tutorials to keep the fire burning but i am still not satisfied with my result, i am not getting what i want also i don't know whats the problem. I am also attaching my latest file. I'd be great full if you could help. The link of the tutorial i followed is this : comet_collision_pyro_v03.hip

  3. Can we resume our cache from some particular frame

Oh no worries i got it. Thanks for your help tho!
  4. Smoke is invisible in render

Thank you so much for your reply feather If you see in my file i am first caching the smoke to disk from the Geometry node(Smoke), and then setting up a set up of Dop i/o and volume viz in another geometry node(Output), then i took this setup and connected it with Geometry1 node in Out directory where we usually render with mantra node. Now the process and caching here is a right way, right? I delayed frame by 7(this is where my rbd sim starts) in resize container, is that okay? Is there need to add a shader while caching? We can also add it before rendering right?
  5. Can we resume our cache from some particular frame

Thank you so much Kleer001 for enlightening me! So by turning off cache simulation in dop node i can easily resume my cache from 91st frame as it won't keep memory of previous frame That's all i had to do? I don't know whether you noticed or not i am caching it to my disk using Geometry node in Out directory and not Using anything in Obj scene
  6. Hi all, I was caching a file and it was of 120 frames the cache was done till 90th frame which took me around 6 Hours now is it possible to restart the caching from 91st frame or i will have to start it over. I tried doing it multiple time with different techniques but i didn't succeed Please respond.
  7. Smoke is invisible in render

Hi all, I was playing with rbd and added some smoke to a structure destruction , but i am not able to see the smoke in render even though it can be seen in viewport. I know we have to cache it first using Dop I/O and i did that, It is visible but just 2% of actual smoke I'll also be attaching the file Please Help. des_debris_v5.hipnc
  8. Unabe to see Pyro Cluster

Hi, I am unable to see my pyro cluster working in the scene and i don't even know what the problem is. I will be attaching my scene file and also obj. file of my building and comet. Thank you. comet_collision_pyro_v03.hip building.obj Rock1.obj
  9. How to keep the fire burning

Hi, I wanted to create a scene where a object like comet collides with a building, but i don't exactly know how to give effects to the comet. Meaning i want comet to continously emit flames and smoke even though it is traveling(animated) and even afterits collision i want it to emit flames just like any real comet. Can anyone help me out in doing this?
  10. Smoke Cannot be seen in Simulation!?

Can anyone of you tell me which node can be used instead of Volume Rasterize Attributes? I think i know who to make it work.
  11. Smoke Cannot be seen in Simulation!?

    simplified file as in?
  12. Smoke Cannot be seen in Simulation!?

Hi all, I created a RBD simulation and the wanted to add smoke in there, so i created a debris source and created debris using pop nodes the i wanted to emit smoke from those debris particles so i added smoke creating dop network and using some nodes but unfortunately the smoke can't be seen and i don't know what is the problem. Can anyone help me out with this?
  13. How to emit smoke from fractured objects

Thanks a lot ChrBohm the link was helpful! Thanks a lot Marcocheng!
  14. How to emit smoke from fractured objects

Hi all, I've been trying to create a structure destruction by exploding some building. I created RBD simulation, then i moved forward to create the smoke but as soon as i applied the debris shelf tool the whole model changes into smoke and doesn't even move. I also tried to do it manually but same problem occured. I want it to emit smoke as soon as model breaks into pieces & I am not able to do it. If some have any knowledge regarding the please help. Thank You.
