  1. Hi everyone, I have a persistent problem with flip simulations. I have a guided ocean layer sim with a flip surface and a boat sailing (static object in the simulation DOP). The problem being that the inside of the collision boat is filled with particles every frame because of reseeding. I already have "Kill inside collision" checked in the Ocean source node and I don't want to turn off reseeding. Is there anything that can I do to avoid the reseeding inside the collision vdb? Am I missing something in the workflow?
  2. Hi everyone, I apologize in advance if this is not the right section to post this. I'm trying to find a solution to use Houdini Ocean Tools in Vray. I have the basic scene with the giant grid, which in Mantra is displaced at render time. At first I connected a material node with a basic Vray shader (without any displacement) after the Ocean evaluate node (I know that I will have a gigantic grid with many subdivisions but that isn't a problem) but it doesn't seem to pick up the full displacement value. Then I tried to export the textures from the Ocean Evaluate node but I'm having a problem with the displacement in the Vray shader. Has anyone ever achieved a realistic look with HOT in Vray? Thanks for the help
  3. How can I get large ocean resolution...

Hi, did you ever find a solution for this? I am trying to render a large ocean spectrum with Vray in Houdini, but the displacement workaround doesn't work as well as in Mantra.
