  1. Custom pivot location on packed primitives

This should work: 1) Write your custom pivot in an attribute before packing. 2) Pack with Pivot Location at Origin. Make sure you transfer your pivot attribute while packing. 3) In a point wrangle, copy the pivot values to the pivot intrinsic, also add to the point position.
  2. Geo light keeps cooking

No prob.. Thanks for looking into it! I'll post back when I find out more.
  3. H13 Sneak Peek #2

I just wanna chip in and say you guys are amazing
  4. Geo light keeps cooking

I think you're not experiencing the lag because you're using a simple sphere. Just to be clear, the problem is not the lag per se, it's the fact that the light is pulling on the graph when it shouldn't. I'll forward this to support and see if it's the expected behavior... Cheers
  5. Geo light keeps cooking

Hey Mangi, There's no rendering involved here. All objects are hidden/disabled yet the light tries to cook every time you change the frame. Here's a hip file for testing: 1 sphere and 1 geo light. Hide or disable both, change frame and feel the lag. cheers
  6. Hi, Just curious to see if anyone else's having this issue with geometry lights when scrubbing the timeline... It seems that the light is forcing the evaluation of the geometry even though the light itself is disabled and has its display flag turned off. The referenced geometry also has its display flag turned off. I can tell by the Performance Monitor that the light is pulling on the SOP network. Delete the light and everything is fast again. Am I overlooking something here? Thanks!
  7. Depth sorting issue with Lit Fog

Ahh thank you Francois!! The scene I'm working on has a huge scaling, hence the larger step size. Hopefully I can find a good balance between precision and speed, otherwise I guess I'll have to bring everything down to a decent size:)
  8. Hi, I've got an Atmosphere object + Lit Fog shader, a perforated grid and a spotlight underneath it pointing upwards. This results in some nice rays through the fog but it seems that the grid is "comped" on top of everything, matting the fog where it shouldn't. Hopefully the images speak for themselves. Hip file attached. Any idea what could be causing this? Thanks! litfog_issue.hip
