  4. Hey guys! I've recently been doing some pyro work with the sparse solver adding pyro to my RBD sim's recently and I have been hitting this issue where if I make my voxel size too small my sim will freeze at some point during the sim. It always seems to freeze during the "advecting fields" step. Normally I'd chock this up to the machine running out of RAM or even VRAM but checking in on it the RAM never sees more than 50% usage and VRAM never goes up beyond 10-20%. CPU is pinned at 100% on all cores but the sim is not doing anything. I have not seen any error message in any pop ups or in the terminal either. Running Houdini 18.0.460 on Ubuntu 18.04. Anyone out there who has experienced anything like that? Thanks for the read!
  5. Hi guys, does anyone know how to set up the solaris physics simulation for layout to be able put geometry inside another geometry? I tried to compute again the simulation proxy but it doesn't work. They show in the Solaris that it's possible so I am confused how to do it. Here is a gif image to better describe the situation.
  6. Hey wonderful people ! I can't figure out how to use blendshapes on crowd agents. When i use the agent button in the crowd shelf, my blendshape appear in the intrinsic attribs of my agent, also comes it's value. I manage to change that value with the vex function "setagentchannelvalue" but the shape of my agent doesn't change at all. Here is a quick example Thank you. Crowd_BlendShape.hipnc
  7. Hi!! Right now I'm trying to destroy the tower in personal work. They make a scene where a fallen tower crashes into a building. When using guide simulation with rbdbulletsolver in houdini18, how do I apply guide simulation to only some primitives? Even if I enter the group I want to apply the guide simulation to in the Group of Setup, the guide simulation is applied to all primitives. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you

  9. Hi I am encountering an obscure error with PDG and looking for help of any sorts. Basically, I am trying to send a set of TOPs work items to farm using tractorscheduler which works fine with H17.5 and H18(localscheduler) but when I try the same setup in H18(tractorscheduler) I am receiving a ["Error Could not find scheduler type "tractorscheduler"] error in tractorscheduler node. Does anyone else encountered such thing yet? Has something changed between the versions of Houdini and I am missing something? Any kind of help towards the direction of solution would be appreciated.
