Sometimes I put down perfectly good nodes and then the Houdini Console pops up, runs a bunch of code and then displays garbage or crashes. (Lighting node in this case)

How can I prevent that?

(W7, Quadro 600, multithreading/GPU assist switched off/on tested)

Is that code coming from a custom vop? I know that vex stops compiling properly when you run out of memory and that often leads to crashes.

This has been fixed in 11.0.595. I'm not sure why it compiled in earlier drivers, but assigning to a GLSL uniform is definitely an error.
