*noob* How to create fog?

Hi,

I rendered out a PIC with a Pz channel, and bring that into COPs using File. I then connect the output to the first input in Fog SOP and nothing happens. I've tried playing with all the settings, but I can't get anything to fog.

I've looked at the data in the Pz channel and it looks correct.

What am I doing wrong?

You need a P plane (x,y,z). Either use a VEX filter with the command set to zexpand to convert Pz to P, or render out P instead of Pz.

Do you know if the P channel is in camera space or world space?

FYI: The channel name for P is case sensitive. That took my a while to figure out, but it's working now.
