Here is a version that probably does what you want.

I used groups instead of attributes.

I can't open your attachment, maybe we have different versions of Houdini. Anyway, you can try using a foreach node and scale each piece along its centroid (by using a transform with $CEX, $CEY and $CEZ as pivot values).

centroid alarm! $CEX, $CEY, $CEZ does indeed work, but be on your safer side with the centroid() function and live happily ever after :)
