... when it feels natural that the whole of your geometry is referred to as "detail".

 

It turns out this might comes from CAD. I talk recently a lot to people about injection molding and industrial 3D printing, and whenever they mean "part" like (we create this engine part etc), they say "detail" -at least in Polish this is correct expression for any distinct peace of geometry they recreate with their technology.

Feel safe, knowing the security is vex'ed up ;)

 

Apparently they guard entire  IT campus, where DWA, MPC, Technicolor's offices are in Bangalore, India.

If this is true, then probably short for "detail drawing": http://metal.brightcookie.com/2_draw/draw_t1/htm/draw1_2_3.htm

...when you know that typing "transform" but missing the tab key will:

-bring up the list view

-reorder your selected node's input

-select all nodes

-change the name display

-change the node connection display

-bring up the little navigator thingy

note: damage may vary due to your typing speed, what context you are in, and the node you are trying to create

- when you google your name and it's return include your odforce profile.

- when you do first login of day and first of all click on web browser's first and second bookmarks which open http://www.sidefx.com  and http://forums.odforce.net

- when you use Houdini "help-browser" as web-browser.

- when mplay is your default image viewer.

- when everyday check http://vimeo.com/goprocedural, is there something new?

- when your beloved one say "I don't like orange" and you still love orange and have your desktop orange.

- when a school kid ask you some science or mathematical questions and you answer those by illustrating in Houdini.

- when you trying to export your scene as alembic from Maya and press specebar to manipulate viewport.
- when you shake a node to disconnect in Nuke.
- when you check your web-browser's history and find most of the items start with "https://www.sidefx.com/index.php?option=com_forum&Itemid=............" and        "http://forums.odforce.net/topic/........."

-When you refer to real world fire as pyro
-When explosions are your all-time favorite footage

-When you stop in the middle of the road to look at the dust trail behind a truck.

-When looking at a ordinary tree makes you calculate the number of points you have to scatter on an L-system tree to generate those leaves

-When vector algebra -which you completely ignored in school becomes your best friend
